In this tutorial, we will see how to weave the quad stitch / biscuit Knot. Baskets made with this knot grow faster than baskets woven with other knots. So if you are looking for a quick project, this one is for you.
Knowing how to weave the box knot / square knot will make it easier to learn this quad stitch. So here is the tutorial for the box knot.
We will need 4 pieces of wire to make this knot. I am using 2 white and 2 red wires. Fold the two white wires as shown below.
Wrap the third wire around the two white loops.
Fold the white wires up.
Weave the red wire through the white loops.
Bring both the white wires back down.
We repeat the same process again for the fourth wire. Wrap the next red wire around the loops.
Bring the white wires up.
Weave the red wire through the loops.
Tighten the knot.
Quad stitch or biscuit knot.

In the demo above, I used two white and two red wires. The white wires traveled vertically and red wires traveled left to right. We got a mixed colored square knot.
