For long time I have been saving this old jeans of my son who has outgrown it. I could have given it to someone, but somehow I kept it hoping to find some use. Day before yesterday morning I was searching for skirt designs, I came across this upgrading pant to skirt. Immediately took this pant out and made it into skirt. I could do it in half an hour.
Before doing this just checked the waist size of DD if this pant’s hip size will fit for her. As the zipper was not working, I didn’t want to work on that with new zipper, so left the zipper as it is and stitched 2 hooks and loops like in blouses. I retained all the pockets. To add charm you may attach some metal buttons on the fly.
With few hems at the belt, it fitted. According to my son pant has been downgraded to skirt.
Now even you can pull out your hubby’s pants to convert into a skirt for you if it fits your waist.
Of course I can’t take credit for this. I got the idea from following site
If you feel that the site that I referred above is not clear, you can google for recycling jeans, you get humpty number of ideas
