Barley Kanji / Porridge For Weight Loss

Barley kanji or barley porridge is a wonderful aid for weight loss. It is believed to flush out toxins from the body. Drinking a few cups of barley water will suppress hunger and help those who are counting calories.

Sometimes we like a weight loss tip and try it out for a few days but give up after a week because it involves too much work. This one is easy as all we have to do is boil some barley pearls.

Wash and boil in 5 cups of water.

When the barley is cooked, it will start becoming soft and expand is size.

You can drink the water and discard the barley or grind the barley and add it to the water. I prefer to add it to the water.

Grind it, mix it well with a little water and then add it to the barley water. Adding it directly might cause clumps.
