This paper craft for toddlers involves activities like folding paper to make triangles, using scissors and gluing. This 8 point star can be hung on the wall or used as an ornament on the Christmas tree.
2 paper squares – Origami squares will be perfect for this.
Glue / glue gun
String to hang the star
We will first be making two 4 point stars. So you can make one while your toddler follows your steps.
Fold the paper into half and then fold again (4 quarter squares). Open paper and then make diagonal folds.
Mark equal points from the center. Then draw lines as shown.
Make 4 cuts. Don’t cut the red lines.
Fold towards the middle to form triangles.
4 point star ready.
Pretty 8 point star. Easy and quick wasn’t it? Even older kids will like it. My daughter wants to make 10 stars after she returns from school today. She wants to string them and hang them in her room. 🙂
